Such an energizing night at the @MsFoundation Awards, centered on the theme “Celebrating Community: Go. Be. Do.,” which honored the transformative leadership and legacy of Teresa Younger, along with inspiring Women of Vision, and announced Tracy Sturdivant as their new president and CEO.
It was wonderful to connect with so many treasured members of my community and incredible leaders, including Jamia Wilson, Glynda Carr, Ted Bunch, Kavita Ramdas, Gloria Feldt, Deja Foxx, and Tracy Gray — as well as well-deserved honorees Fatima Goss Graves, Patti Russo, Tarana Burke, and so many more. And it’s always great to share these moments with my daughter Jazmin.
My organization Feminist.com has a special history with the Ms. Foundation: we helped create their first web presence in the early days of the internet, and I’ve covered their visionary work as a journalist, in addition to being a grantee.
The night was a powerful reminder of the strength of our collective. Being in the company of so many fired up, committed leaders gave me real hope. So grateful to be part of this community. 💜 🙌
